Job Description

The Assistant Cook supports the Head Cook in the preparation and cooking of meals according to a designated menu. This role involves following recipes, preparing ingredients, cooking, and plating dishes to meet quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately
  • High level of hygiene and organisation
  • Ability to take direction from head chef

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary education or relevant experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred but not required.
  • Food handler’s certification or willingness to obtain one.
